Greater Works Foundation today announced a donation to Boys Don't Sing, a Nigerian film by Adebola Ogunshina that is now in post-production.
Set inside a modest Nigerian home, Boys Don't Sing follows two elderly men whose children have left the country in search of better lives. The film explores loneliness, routine, memory and the quiet presence of death, and how tenderness survives in small daily acts: helping a friend walk, sharing tea, finding reasons to laugh.
Principal photography is complete. The film is now in post-production, where editing, sound, colour and music will shape the finished work. Greater Works Foundation's support goes toward these finishing costs, helping the film reach audiences.
The donation is part of the foundation's work in the arts and creative economy, one of four areas it supports alongside education and skills, poverty alleviation and enterprise development.
"Adebola's film tells a story that many Nigerian families live but rarely see on screen: parents growing older as their children build lives abroad. Backing local storytellers is part of how we invest in communities, and we are proud to help bring this film to audiences," said Ifeoluwa (DJ) Adedeji, Founder of Greater Works Foundation.
The filmmakers are seeking further finishing funds, partnerships and screening opportunities. Organizations interested in supporting or screening the film can contact Greater Works Foundation at info@wearegwf.org.
