Each scholar receives

Covered for one academic session.

Renewable for one additional session based on exceptional performance. Go through application process.

About the scholarship
For students whose curiosity goes beyond the classroom
The Adedeji Scholarship Program supports first-, second- and penultimate-year students who excel academically while pursuing interests beyond their main field of study — in entrepreneurship, the arts, public service and more.
We look for students carving a distinctive path, who bring curiosity across disciplines and turn their experiences into meaningful work in their communities.
Who can apply
- Currently enrolled 100- to 300-level students
- In the Faculty of Economics, Social Science, or Arts at the University of Ibadan
- Demonstrated engagement in meaningful enrichment activities on or off campus
- No minimum GPA is required, though a strong academic record strengthens your application

What you'll need
Applications are reviewed holistically: we look at the whole person, not just grades.

Application form
Complete the online application form. You'll need a well-written CV.

Transcript
An official transcript showing your current GPA. Current 100-level students submit their original JAMB result slip instead.

Personal essay
Up to 250 words on how your curiosity, passion or interests have led you to meaningful endeavors, how you'll use that perspective after your studies, and the role your education plays.

Supporting evidence
Proof of your activities and achievements, on or off campus.

Recommendation letter
A letter of recommendation from a faculty member who knows your work.
